While in Atlanta working in a small CPA firm Lenny learned about every aspect of the commercial real estate business. “Commercial real estate is a natural and perfect fit, I finally found my niche,” stated Mr. Cannarozzo. “My in-born entrepreneurial spirit coupled with my background in finance and accounting gives me the necessary technical and analytical skills necessary to be successful in the commercial real estate brokerage field.”

In 2005, he established Madison & Hoyt Real Estate Group. The name "Madison & Hoyt" was derived in honor of Mr. Cannarozzo's grandfathers, Victor Cannarozzo and Louis Messana. As immigrants to America, they became respected in their community as successful businessmen. Their respective businesses, Madison Cab and Hoyt Shoe Makers, served the residents of Buffalo, New York for decades. “Not only is the name attractive sounding, but more importantly, it is very meaningful to me,” said Mr. Cannarozzo. “I think my grandfathers are looking down at me and are proud that I’m honoring their memories and achievements.”

In a few short years, Madison & Hoyt has become well known and highly respected in Northeast Florida. “The information age has leveled the playing field,” said Mr. Cannarozzo. “We have access to the same information as the larger local and regional firms. Our research and market knowledge is very important in giving our clients the added advantage in the negotiation process. It has also allowed us to develop very strong proprietary databases in an effort to adequately market our clients' properties and to attract potential buyers and sellers.” Such databases have helped Madison & Hoyt become well-connected not only throughout the southeast but globally. This is where we got our tag line “Locally Respected & Globally Connected,” said Mr. Cannarozzo.

As a local firm, loyalty, respect and integrity between employer and employee is required at Madison & Hoyt. “I despise office politics,” stated Mr. Cannarozzo. “Our firm adheres to professional and ethical standards within the office and extends these attributes outside the office in the way we relate to our clients as well as fellow brokers.”

When asked what the benefits are of doing business with Madison & Hoyt it brings to the table, Lenny emphasized three factors: “First, we are dedicated professionals. We emphasize training and continuing educating for everyone, which puts us in a constant state of improvement. It is very important that our clients are represented properly. Secondly, as a small local firm, we cater to our clients, taking them under our wing, with an emphasis on building long term relationships. And last, I’m a visionary and non-conformist, always coming up with new ideas for growing our firm and at the same time making it a great place to work.”

Madison & Hoyt represents buyers, sellers, tenants and landlords with their commercial real estate needs. Clients seeking representation from Madison & Hoyt range from small businesses to large international companies. All asset classes: office, retail, industrial, investment and land along with property management are handled in-house with dedicated team members.

Lenny Cannarozzo is a CCIM candidate, former Chairman of the Commercial Alliance of Realtors. Recently, he became a small business member of the Brazil-Florida Alliance and obtained an International Consortium of Real Estate Association (ICREA) certification.
